The Coelmo 2026 Calendar, through the images captured by Alessandro Ciambrone, is a visual journey through a century of emotions, achievements and dreams. Twelve moments that tell the story of a city where competition becomes culture and movement becomes poetry.

From the 1929 fencing thrust to the 2023 Giro d’Italia sprint, every month is a tribute to the body, beauty and memory of Naples.

The lunge
In 1929, Napoli hosted the Fencing World Championships, the city’s first major international sporting event of the century. The elegance and precision of the lunge became a symbol of discipline and rebirth, embodying the pursuit of perfection in every movement.
The stride
The Agnano Racetrack, inaugurated in 1935, became a symbol of Napoli’s sporting modernity. “The Stride” embodies rhythm, power, and the profound connection between human and nature. An elegant and dynamic gesture that brought sport into the urban and spectacular dimension.
The momentum
After the difficult years of the war, the Collana Stadium came back to life with athletics competitions. The red tracks welcomed the first post-war athletes, a symbol of rebirth and hope. Every step was an act of trust in tomorrow.
The balance
In 1957 Napoli hosted the European Artistic Gymnastics Championships. The athletes brought grace and determination, balance and lightness, turning athletic movement into a form of art. The city revealed itself as the capital of gentle strength.
The immersion
The 1963 Mediterranean Games marked a turning point in Napoli’s sporting history. Iconic facilities such as the Scandone Swimming Pool and the San Paolo Stadium were built. The sun became a medal, and the sea’s light a symbol of a Mediterranean united through sport.
The shot
At the end of the 1970s, the epic era of the Posillipo Nautical Club began, destined to dominate the European water polo scene. The waters of the Scandone turned to glory: every shot, every breath, an indelible mark of Neapolitan passion.
The race
In 1985, the first Napoli Marathon was born. Thousands of runners crossed the city, connecting the historic center and the waterfront in a single breath. Sport became participation, celebration, and collective movement, a symbol of Neapolitan energy.
The penalty kick
The 1990 World Cup semifinal between Italy and Argentina, played at the San Paolo Stadium, remains etched in the collective memory. Napoli, torn between its love for Italy and its affection for Maradona, experienced a night suspended in myth. Football became emotion, identity, and history.
The tack
The waters of the Gulf of Napoli returned to the forefront of the international sailing scene. The America’s Cup boats challenged wind and speed in a perfect dialogue between sea, technology, and beauty. The horizon became a symbol of freedom and precision.

In 2014, the PalaBarbuto Arena hosted the FIVB Men’s Volleyball World League. The spikes of the Italian team set the crowd alight in a tournament that celebrated energy, teamwork, and spectacle. The spike became the gesture of impact, of drive, of collective strength.
Service
Along Napoli’s seafront, the Tennis Napoli Cup brought top-level international tennis back to the foot of Mount Vesuvius. The serve taut, suspended, radiant rose against the golden sky of sunset. The Sprint
In 2023 Napoli once again hosted a stage of the Giro d’Italia, on a scenic route between sea and hills. The final sprint along the Caracciolo waterfront captured the spirit of the new decade: energy, speed, and rebirth.
