Andrea Rocca - 2025
Andrea Rocca is an Italian artist and designer, born and raised in Milan, the city where he began
his professional and artistic career. After graduating as an advertising graphic designer at the IED
Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan, he oriented his studies towards a career in advertising, working
freelance as an illustrator, designer and publicist.
His diverse and numerous personal and professional experiences in Italy and abroad have
contributed to the construction and evolution of a new eclectic and creative artistic identity.
Towards the end of the 1990s, his previous experiences were consolidated in a mature style,
confirming his choice of painting as his preferred means of expression.
Wood, canvas and everyday objects are the preferred supports for portraits, historical brands and
still life, works that Andrea Rocca creates in mixed technique with an extremely personal pop taste,
ranging from figurative painting to installations, from American graphics to abstract.
The subjects of his works consolidate the artist’s connection to the world of culture, fashion,
advertising, cinema comics and music, which are reinterpreted through an original and powerful
use of colour. The incisiveness of the strokes and the boldness of the chromatic choice make the
strength of the warm colours the true protagonist of the image that the artist represents in his
works.
